Protection

Ensuring you keep what you already have

Protection Advice

At Mortgages with Clarity we not only advise you on your mortgage and property plans but just as importantly we will advise you on how to keep them safe. It is our job to ensure that you can not only get your dream home, but keep it forever, or for as long as you would like to.

Life Assurance

This simple no nonsense means of protection is the perfect way for creating peace of mind to ensure financial security for when someone is no longer with us.

Whatever additional financial planning you have for the future, a life insurance plan is probably one of the most simple and effective means of providing for your family once you are no longer here to do that job yourself. Our specialist advisors at Mortgages with Clarity we can work with you to make sure the that a bespoke life insurance plan is created. The sort of plan that provides your family and loved ones of the exact financial legacy that you would want and all for a fixed monthly amount over an agreed period of time.

Critical Illness Cover

We all want peace of mind and one of the most effective ways of creating that for you and your family is with a critical illness cover plan. These plans are designed to payout in the event of the policyholder being diagnosed with a specified serious illness, that means that they may not be able to work.
Having critical illness cover alongside a life insurance policy is one of the best ways to have combined protection to cover the two most obvious risks.

At Mortgages with Clarity we specialise in finding the right policy for you as an individual, preferring the bespoke approach, rather than the one-size-fits-all. Protecting yourself in this way delivers the reassurance that allows you and your family to get on with your lives.

Did you know that the current level of statutory sick pay is £99.35 per week compared to the £408 per week national living wage?
If you were unable to work whilst recovering from a critical illness, £99.35 per week is unlikely to cover the costs of your family’s lifestyle and mortgage commitments.

Income Protection

An Income Protection plan is the best way of protecting yourself and your family so that even if you are unwell, you won't have to worry about your financial situation. Statutory sick pay won't cover the bills and even if your employer gives you a sick pay package, the chances are it won't provide the all-important cover that you need for the time that you need it.

No two clients are the same, which means that there is little, or no point in an off the shelf, one-size-fits-all package which can be found cheaply online.
Instead, our advisers will sit down with you and listen to what you want giving you sound, solid and effective advice the sort of advice that delivers peace of mind. If you are taken ill the last thing you want to worry about is your finances, so if you do want to talk to a specialist income protection adviser then please contact us.

Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover

The added reassurance with an accident sickness and unemployment policy (ASU) is that these types of policies are the only ones that protect you in the event of redundancy which might be a serious consideration in these slightly uncertain times.

One key difference between other policies and an ASU policy is that these are designed for a fixed period. So if you are made redundant these policies will cover you financially for 12 or 24 months, giving you the breathing space required to get back into the job market.

Home and Contents Cover

Quite possibly your home is the most valuable asset that you own, but putting monetary value to one side, it is also somewhere that you and your family live. For these two reasons alone, your home and the contents of your home are hugely important, and they should be protected financially. These days building and contents insurance is about so much more than cover for if your house falls down or if a burglar steals your TV.

Modern insurance cover includes a whole host of eventualities the sort of accidents that are massive inconveniences that simply protect you and your family from living your day-to-day life. Yes, there's protection for major building work and theft and there's also cover for legal costs when a visitor or passer-by has an accident at your property. There is fire and flood damage, hotel accommodation for when you've been unable to stay at your property and even frozen food cover for when the freezer decides to stop working after you've done a costly grocery shop.

Building and Contents insurance is all about peace of mind for those valuable and important assets, the sort of assets that are at the very heart of your family. So, if you do want to talk to a specialist business and contents insurance adviser, please feel free to contact us.
